  • Its all about the battery and  -the voltage
The  lithium ion battery ( Li-on ) which is considered  best for cordless drill and other electronic  device; it does batteries does no waste time in recharging.
In a normal sense, you will know that the higher the voltage the bigger the battery, but sincerely it depends on the type or kind of battery. Ni-ad, Ni-Mh and Li-on batteries are commonly used in cordless drill and these batteries in their different sizes produces different voltage. But in lithium ion battery, no discharge required; Can be recharged in any condition; Almost 40% more power and 50% lighter than standard NP Ni-Cd; No memory effect;  also environmentally friendly. So, its more advisable to go for a higher voltage lithium battery than a low voltage Ni-cd or Ni-mh batteries.

In regarding ROCKWELL RK180K2 CORDLESS DRILL, The 20-volt lithium ion battery powered tools are extremely compact and lightweight to improve comfort, control, and access to tight space.

This drill has received rave reviews from most consumers on the net with an average of 4.5 out of 5 from most reviewers on Amazon...... check out what other people are saying about this product

My husband just about danced around the room when I told him what I had ordered for him -- he is SO happy with his ROCKWELL DRILL and DRIVER SET. Here's what he has said about it --

Nice, light weight tools -- good balance. Two batteries are included which is great for extended use. Quick charger with indicator light included. This baby charges super fast!!!!!!

Good heavy carrying bag that has room inside for drill bits and small items like screws.

Free lifetime batteries which, if you have ever bought these batteries, is HUGE! Two batteries would usually cost $100 plus for any brand of tool. Only RIDGE offers this with their sets but they are much more expensive than the Rockwell. set

Impact driver has 950 inch/pounds of torque which is very good and has a standard quick bit lock release. Drill is 265 inch/pounds and that is average.

Batteries have 1.3 AMP hour rating which is about average for tools such as this and 20 volts which have plenty of power.

Drill is variable speed with a high and low range. Easy to use switch on the top of the drill.

Very compact and light for tight spaces and working overhead. His old Craftsman NICAD weighs a ton and can make your arm tired in no time.
Two belt hooks are included which hook on the side with one screw. Nice option to prevent dropping your valuable tool.

Drill has 15 torque settings. The higher the setting the greater the torque.

This really is a super nice tool set for the money - and the lifetime batteries are a real bonus. Definitely a "Best Buy".

You really can't go wrong with this drill set for the homeowner/handyman.

Thanks
Last year I had to replace my old Craftsman 10V cordless drill with NiCad batteries. The newer drills with Lithium batteries allow lighter weight and better battery life. At the time, I was torn between the power of 20V and size of 12V. You can never have too much power, but the battery pack can add weight and feel unbalanced. In the end, I chose a Black & Decker 12V.

What a difference a year makes in technology. The Rockwell 20V Drill and 20V Driver are both lighter and more compact than the B&D 12V. The design is also great for working in tighter places. Instead of the usual upright design, the handle slants forward so the base is always way behind the chuck. The battery is flat, allowing the drill to stand on its own.

Using both tools is a delight. They both have variable speeds and stop instantly. The drill has a 2-speed gear control for drilling or driving. Changing batteries is simple by depressing a release on top. With 2 batteries, you don’t have to worry about running out of power. Rockwell also offers a free battery replacement program. It comes with a heavy-duty charger that can be wall mounted

The bag is a nice extra, but there is no divider to keep both tools from banging into each other. I was surprised that there was not a 2-sided bit included for the drill. Also, it does not have a place to store a bit on the handle like many drill/drivers. It makes up for this minor detail with the LED light to show where you are drilling.

The Impact Driver has a quick release chuck, but no attachments. I got a 3/8” socket adapter at the hardware store and use regular sockets. Other bits including drill bits are available, but not included.

This is a very nice pair of solidly built tools. The design and construction is excellent. The combination of size and power is one of the best I have seen. The only thing lacking is a few attachments
